Roadmap

Fennick isn’t open yet. Here is what is in the app today, what we’re building now, and what comes next. Recently added lists new features as they arrive.

Live now 7

  • Paragraphs and outlines in one editor

Write paragraphs and indent blocks into an outline on the same page.

  • Tags with fields

Tag a block and it becomes an object with that tag’s fields.

  • Views

See anything in more than one way: a set of objects as a table, board, list, calendar, gallery or chart, and a page as an outline, prose, numbered or a checklist.

  • Live queries

A query block on any page lists its results and keeps them current.

  • Daily notes

Today’s page, plus a page for each week, month and year.

  • Sync

A signed-in notebook stays in step between the web and the Mac app.

  • The Op Log

Every change by people and agents, and an undo for any one of them.

Being built 3

  • Local notebook files

Each notebook is a SQLite file in a folder you choose, with no account needed.

  • The Mac app

Download it, open it and start writing, with no sign-in.

  • Mentions with their fields

A mentioned object shows its icon and fields, also inside a sentence.

Next 6

  • Relations, rollups and formulas

Link objects to each other, then count, sum or average across the links.

  • Repeating tasks

One task that keeps its whole history, and a Tasks page for what is due.

  • Agents through MCP and an API

Connect your own agent with a key for each notebook. Its edits can wait for your approval.

  • Export and import

Export to Markdown, CSV and JSON, and bring in Markdown folders and other apps’ exports.

  • Images and files

Add images and files to any block.

  • The iPhone app

Fennick on your phone, through TestFlight first.

After the alpha 7

  • Sharing

Share a notebook with other people.

  • Comments

    Comment on blocks and pages.

  • Plugins and themes

Add features and change how Fennick looks.

  • Windows and Android

    Apps for more devices.

  • End-to-end encryption

Choose end-to-end encryption for a synced notebook.

  • AI inside the app

Ask questions about your notes without leaving Fennick, if you allow AI.

  • Import from Tana

Bring a Tana workspace into a notebook.
