New things you can do in Fennick, newest first. Fennick isn’t open yet. You can join the waitlist, and the roadmap shows what we’re working on.
Page history and a readable Op Log
Each page now has a version history you can step through. The Op Log describes every change in a plain sentence, and a stretch of typing counts as one change.
Links to any block
Copy a link to a block from its menu or from ⌘K. Opening the link takes you straight to that block, even when it sits inside a folded outline.
Sync between the web and the Mac app
Fennick now runs on its own sync database. Sign in, and a notebook stays in step between the Mac app and the web.
Views
See anything in more than one way: a set of objects as a table, board, list, calendar, gallery or chart, with several saved views, and a page’s blocks as an outline, prose, numbered or a checklist. Tables sort, filter and group.
Live queries
Write a query as a block on any page, such as open tasks due this week. Its results appear under it and stay current while you write.
Daily notes with week, month and year pages
Fennick opens on today’s note. Each week, month and year has its own page, and @fri or @oct 15 links a block to a day.
The Op Log
Every change by every person and agent is listed by name. Undo this reverts one change and keeps everything after it. Restore to here goes back to a point.
Tags with fields
Tag a block with #task or #book and it becomes an object with that tag’s fields, shown right after the tag.
Paragraphs and outlines in one editor
Write paragraphs, press Tab to start an outline under them, and keep writing. Fold blocks, or open any block as its own page.
