# Fennick docs

How to use Fennick, the notebook that writes like a document and works like a database. Fennick is not open yet: [join the waitlist](/.md#waitlist).

> **Fennick is alpha, and you will lose data.** Keep a copy of anything important somewhere else.

**Ask Claude about Fennick**

```text
I'm learning Fennick, a notebook app (getfennick.com).
Read its docs: llms-full.txt
Answer my questions about Fennick from those docs only. If the docs mark something "(coming)", tell me it is not built yet. Keep answers short, and name the exact keys to press.
```

Paste it into Claude, or any AI chat. Every page is also on [llms.txt](llms.txt), and each page has a Copy page button. Connecting Claude to your notes is (coming).

## Start here

1. Open Fennick. It opens on today's page. Start typing.
2. Type `/` to change a line into a heading, a list, a to-do and more.
3. Press `Tab` to indent. Indented lines become bullets, an outline.
4. Type `#name` after some words to tag the line. Type `@` to mention a page, a thing or a day.
5. Press `⌘K` to go anywhere or do anything.
